Diet for People Having Respiratory Problems

Breathing is akin to being alive – to be able to breathe freely is like a blessing for those who are suffering from respiratory problems because it isn’t all that pleasant to be paying a visit to a respiratory therapist every now and then. Vegetables and fruits play a vital role when it comes to improving the health of the organs in our respiratory system. Therefore it is advisable to include plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables in one’s diet in order to keep fit and fine. Fruits and vegetables that are rich in anti-oxidants are strongly recommended.

One should also consume adequate amount of nuts and seeds because these are rich sources of healthy fats and nutrients. If you cannot have nuts in its natural form then try incorporating products of nuts such as peanut butter or almond butter into your meals. Fish that are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids are also believed to be super effective for respiratory problems and hence always suggested by doctors for consumption.
